The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot’s most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. This uses AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It’s also the first to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we’ve ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly leaving no trace it was there. It’s easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn’t sweep areas you don’t want it to. It’s compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that resembles a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which will reduce your cleaning time.

In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ quickly took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand, which most other robots can’t. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet’s shedding hair.

While it’s not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum and can’t clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent option for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It’s not expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to know if they are working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you’re looking for an automated Vacuum cleaner (robotvacuummops.com) that can do more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your house at the same time. They also have a range of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn’t an exception. It’s their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it’s not equipped with some of the features you’ll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it’s still an excellent option if you’re willing to sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably soft when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It’s also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums aren’t able to meet. The Q5+’s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or re-label rooms.

If you select the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place, emptying the bin is simple. It features a large LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or changing settings. This isn’t an essential feature for the majority of people however it can help you keep track of the maintenance intervals for your robot with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that’s incredibly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market however it’s quite expensive.

The base station looks nice and is hidden when it’s not in use, and its size is quite compact. But the station’s main selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It’s the only robovacs that I’ve tested that do very well at cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it’s not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It’s not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance, and it doesn’t have a dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn’t provide as much in the way of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that’s worth the premium price cost.

If you’re looking to save money or aren’t concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. A lot of eufy models are substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive and has more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It’s simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be placed near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. The design is more modest than other models, with a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It uses a built-in map to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it’s cleaned and the areas it’s not able to access. The sleek G30 isn’t without faults however. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn’t require to be empty as often and comes with the boundaries to ensure it isn’t in certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn’t have to be empty as often and has less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
